In today's #PoisedforExit show we featured Lucas Root, a Wallstreet M&A adviser turned entrepreneur. Lucas spends his time speaking, teaching and mentoring women entrepreneurs of startups and established businesses. His access to various types of capital and connections in the M&A world have been integral in getting this endeavor off the ground.
Learning about the various operations of the businesses he was a part of acquiring helped him gain some insight and knowledge that most of us take a lifetime of business ownership to obtain. He spent time with many of the big banks, but also with smaller firms, both on the analyst side and the integration side of a deal.
As an investor he knows the statistics when it comes to the higher success rate of female owned companies, which is why he's doing his best to expand awareness around the obstacles they face in order to get their products and services to market.
